More About Me

About Lamar Hough

I moved from Washington D.C. to Prince George's County at the age of 7 and attended PGCPS where I graduated from Friendly High School in 1991. I began my higher education at the University of Maryland College Park. After 2 years, I took my talent to the University of Maryland Baltimore County where I graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. Shortly after graduating from college, I moved to Connecticut to start my IT career with IBM. This is where I got my first taste of real estate by investing in rental properties. In 2003, after I returned to the DMV area, I decided to take my real estate interests more seriously and became a Realtor. In 2005, I took another leap and became a licensed Loan Officer. In 2006, I teamed up with Michael Goss and another partner to open an Exit Realty franchise. Unfortunately, in 2010 when the real estate market was recovering from its nose dive in 2008, the team decided that the franchise route was no longer the direction we wanted to go. In 2018 SRG Platinum Real Estate was formed and transitioned to become a Coldwell Banker office in May 2022.  We plan on the continued growth and added support we will receive by being part of the Coldwell Banker family.
